The newly appointed Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal, WS Pereira, said that Sri Lanka was interested in investing in the infrastructure and education sectors in Nepal.

Ambassador Pereira said this during a programme organised by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce in her honour in the Capital on Monday.

On the occasion, the Sri Lankan diplomat said she was always ready to expand the economic, social and cultural ties between Nepal and Sri Lanka.

For expanding economic relations between the two countries, private sectors could play important role, she argued.
